The insanity never ends.
The California Environmental Protection Agency:Air Resources Board (CARB), to save the earth, is going to require all California repair shops to check your tire pressure and inflate your tires to the proper pressure. If this service is provided for free, you are not allowed to decline the service.
If the service is provided for a fee, you can only decline the service if you meet one of two criteria:
- If you have had your tires inflated within the last 30 days (and can prove it)
- Will have your tires inflated within the next seven days (and can prove it)
You must be able to provide documentation that you had your tires inflated within the last 30 days or within seven days of having your car serviced. Severe penalties will be imposed if you fail to comply including a $1,000 fine and six months in prison.
This law is still being discussed. You can end this nonsense by fighting back.
Enough is enough. When are we done with intrusive BIG government?
This is one more ridiculous expansion of government in an attempt to regulate every nuance of our lives. A whole new government department paid for with your taxes will be created with government employees with nice paychecks, fat pension plans and awesome healthcare to manage this new law, provide enforcement, collect your documentation, make sure you do your jail time…
Just one more level of bureaucratic nonsense, Big Brother Government, and a waste of taxpayer money.
