Rick Santorum voted to increase the debt ceiling five times, he supported Big Labor by not supporting the Right-To-Work Act, and like so many political machines he became a well funded lobbyist, and then he said that he “he had to spend the surpluses” and as a result has added trillions to the national debt.
Santorum – just another Big Government political insider that says whatever he needs to say to keep the money rolling in.
The problem with Mitt, Newt, and Santorum, is that they are just more of the same Big Government politicians that change their stripes whenever the political wind changes direction. Only Ron Paul has been as solid and unwavering as granite in his Constitutionality, with a 20 year voting record to back it up. None of the other candidates have that. NONE.
In the debate video above, Ron said many interesting things, but one of them was pointing out that the other candidates never refer to the Constitution when they are discussing their various positions. This seems a small detail, but it is in fact very important. America was founded, and built, on the Constitution. It is the Constitution that provided the freedom from Big Government which allowed America in just over 200 years to invent more, heal more, grow more, employ more, and raise the standard of living for millions around the world which Europe and other Big Government countries had been unable to do in ten times that period.
So if we still believe the Constitution is the concrete foundation that great nations are built upon, why will none of the other candidates refer to it as their support in how they want to direct the future of America? Simply put…they can’t. Their voting record and their ability to change their views as their political aspirations and checking accounts dictate shows loud and clear what their true intentions are.
They have voted for bills, drafted legislation and sided with other Big Government politicians including many on the Left to tear down the Constitution, to weaken and re-write it, to manipulate and mutilate the concrete foundation of America until it will support something else. They want to dismantle the old America and rebuild it on a new foundation of their own making with a Big Government, nanny-state, socialist, intimately regulated, wealth redistributed, economically corrupted, corporate-political machine making everyone a slave to everyone else which enriches the politicians, the lobbyists and the Corporate America Elite who buy their protection from free market competition by engaging in and funding this American reconstruction.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurship, innovation, ambition, the freedom to succeed, the strength of the dollar and the economy are all torn down and discarded in a pile of rubble so we can become just like Europe and all of the other Big Government nations whose greatest contributions to modern society are their cobblestone streets and quaint, picturesque old world novelty.
The shadow of Europe’s once unique greatness is now all they have to offer.
We are well on our way to joining them, and politicians like Mitt, Newt and Santorum are the New America architects.
Our only hope, is Ron Paul.
