Some Didn’t Get The Memo

A BATTLE WIN FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, THE WAR GOES ON

In today’s Wall Street Journal, “President Barack Obama suggested he’s open to Congress passing a scaled-back health-care bill, potentially sacrificing much of his signature policy initiative as chaos engulfed Capitol Hill Wednesday.”

The nation rallied behind the Massachusetts Senate race and a message was sent to Washington that the majority of Americans are opposed to rampant government expansion, statism and higher taxes.

Of course, many politicians didn’t get the message.

PELOSI TRIES TO RAM THE BILL THROUGH ANYWAY

Politicians are experts at saying one thing and doing another. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is no different.  In the WSJ article, Pelosi said that, “lawmakers (politicians) would heed the message voters sent in the Massachusetts election”  which was immediately followed by her completely contradictory action of, “counting votes to see if she could move the more comprehensive package through the house.”

So, politician (lawmaker) Nancy Pelosi lies to our faces that she hears the people, while quietly trying to ram the bill through as fast as possible anyway.

POLITICIANS IGNORE COSTS TO IMPOSE THEIR IDEOLOGY

During an ABC interview, Obama listed the popular features of his bill, leaving out the core feature nobody wanted, trying to insure as many as possible of the 47 million uninsured Americans.  As the WSJ article goes on to say, “that’s what costs money, about $1 trillion over a decade, and that’s what Democrats have been working towards for decades.”

Politicians have been working towards spending over $1 trillion of YOUR money, for decades. Big Government, statism, fascism, socialism…whatever you want to call it, this is their goal. Massachusetts was a battle won in an endless war to keep the noose tight around the expansion of government.

You can hear it in seemingly unimportant comments they make like during Martha Coakley’s concession speech when she said that despite her defeat they will move forward and quoted Ted Kennedy, “the work begins anew, the hope rises again, and the dream lives on.”

They will not stop until their vision of how the world should be is achieved, no matter how much it costs us through crushing taxes, a declining quality of life or the evaporation of our freedoms.  All of these are worth it to them as long  as, “the dream lives on.”
