I have been working my way through Atlas Shrugged for months now. Part of the problem is that I have…wait, let me count them…13 other books on economics, monetary and fiscal policy, Roman and American history and political science that I am reading all crammed into my Kindle. All of them related to how countries, governments and economies are run, and destroyed.
Not to mention the 23 other books I have already read and the countless news feeds and blogs I subscribe to. And if you’ve ever seen Atlas Shrugged in physical form, it’s a book you can you can weightlift with, which is one of the reasons that this full-length major motion picture is only Part I of the entire story.
That said, I am torn whether I should try to speed read the book over the weekend and catch the movie Sunday night or go ahead and see the movie, which would plot spoil the book….although…being Part I, the end would still be unknown. Hmmm….
Anyway, if you have a chance, go check out the movie and see what Ayn Rand has been saying for decades about Big Government being your mommy, taking all your money and deciding who deserves it more than you do!
The preview is below and the website is found here.
