If there is one book you read this year, read this one.
If there is one book you read this year, read this one.
That’s not a typo. It’s that important.
If you want to protect yourself, your family and your money from the collapse that still lies in front of us, I strongly urge you to read this book and educate yourself on what economic traumas are still in the pipeline and how to protect yourself and your assets. I read the first version of this book in 2007 and I just finished the updated version released a few days ago.
The government would not allow the dot.com boom to fully correct when it busted, they simply moved the bubble to housing. They won’t let the housing correction complete either, and are now moving it to the bond market and the devaluation of the dollar. The government will not allow the necessary correction to occur, they simply move the deflation of one market to the inflation of another market…and it’s not over.
There are great minds in many fields, Stephen Hawking being one of them, and although quantum physics offers the secrets of the universe there are great minds that offer insight into other areas of our life. Although on the surface that insight might not seem as spiritually satisfying as considering the origins of the universe and the meaning of life, its usefulness to us is much more practical while we’re still breathing.
In the early years of the housing bubble inflation, I was following several prominent bloggers, many of whom were considered renegade economic doomsayers. They were chided on their posts for their prediction that the housing bubble was unsustainable and that there would be an economic price to be paid for such a catastrophic inflation of the economy without the fundamentals to support it. They often cited their sources, something unique to blogging and entirely absent in the mainstream media.
Peter Schiff was cited in a few blogs which led to my interest and eventual review of his book, Crashproof: How to Profit from the Coming Economic Collapse (This link goes to his updated version of this book). When all the world is caught up in a mania, and only a few people are warning of the turning tides to come, it was relieving to read a well supported book based on economic fundamentals that laid down the step by step implosion of the housing bubble and the economic collapse that would follow it.
It was like reading a blueprint of the future. Anyone can understand it. It was laid out as fact. It all came true.
The man too is convincing and steadfast. While the rest of us faced into the headwinds of the mania at home in our small circle of detractors, he stood firm against the full frontal assault of the mainstream media and pundits who thought the party would never end. In the following video, they actually laugh at him, make fun of and bully him. The insanity of the kool-aid drinking media was absolutely incredible. Any attempt to question their unsubstantiated belief in the continued expansion of the market was met with violent words and rebuke.
I wish he had been wrong, but he was not. Peter Schiff was right. And he has more to say…
