Representative Ron Paul had introduced a bill which will permit the American people to audit the Federal Reserve. The Fed is an arm of the government (yeah, I said it) that controls monetary policy.
In other words, if you want to know where all the TARP money went and which banks are getting bailouts and how much gold we have left, The Fed is who you need to ask. Whenever we ask, they tell us they don’t have to tell us. Why? Because the heads of The Fed are the heads of the major banks in the United States, like Bank of America and others.
Can you believe it? An agency in the government run by bankers that can take money from our paychecks but not be held accountable on where it goes and what it gets spent on.
The bill Ron Paul presented to Congress was going to end all of that and had 308 co-sponsors. However, one congressman has completely gutted of all the provisions that would permit the American people to do any of the audits that would answer all of our questions.
It was gutted by Mel Watt, a North Corolina representative.
Why? Nobody knows. Could it be that his district includes Charlotte, N.C. which is the headquarters for Bank of America? That’s not a coincidence.
He knows where his bread gets buttered and he served his master well.
Email your representatives. A short email is fine…just email them. Let them know you want this bill passed in its original form, not a watered down version that one lone individual serving his banker masters created.
