I couldn’t resist posting this parody of the popular family board game Monopoly that was forwarded to me by one of my friends…let’s call him Clark Kent (which he is often mistaken for).
The definition for Kleptocracy: Alternatively cleptocracy or kleptarchy, from Greek kleptes (thieves) and kratos (rule), is a term applied to a government that takes advantage of governmental corruption to extend the personal wealth and political power of government officials and the ruling class.
The ruling class here being the Republicans and Democrats who have slowly, over time, expanded the width and breadth of government until it invades every aspect of our lives, has the power to destroy the economy (as we are currently attempting to live through), invades our personal privacy on a regular basis (such as The Patriot Act) and enters into military conflicts without our approval (such as Libya).
Who is to blame? Us.
We have the power to replace them all with a single vote, in a single election. We can change it all back so we are the most prosperous country in the world in ONE DAY…or we can do nothing, which is what got us here to begin with.
